Onlione Training

Survey

We will complete a full survey to HSG264 as updated February 2010 standard. All of our asbestos consultants are fully trained in order to carry out full asbestos surveys.

Samples are analysed at our UKAS accredited laboratories in order to give you accurate results from the asbestos survey which our asbestos consultants have conducted. Your asbestos consultant will double bag and label all asbestos samples.

The type location and condition is assessed so that full asbestos training can be delivered.

A complete and detailed register is compiled.

Recommendations are made for any remedial work and inspection frequency. This can include a one-off asbestos survey or can be a series of asbestos surveys. Our asbestos consultants will advise on the necessary asbestos training based on the results surrounding the asbestos surveying that has been completed.

What if I find Asbestos?

The immediate reaction people have when our asbestos surveys find traces is that asbestos must be removed. This is not always the case there are many different ways to deal with asbestos to reduce the risk to yourself and your employees. Correct asbestos training and management is vital towards the treatment of asbestos.

Our asbestos surveyor will explain in detail how asbestos training, monitoring and management can deal with any asbestos found in your premises.

This is where the planning and monitoring of the register applies. Our asbestos consultants will aid your business to ensure that sufficient asbestos training is received by your staff once the asbestos surveying has been completed. On completion you will be in possession of an asbestos survey report that includes an asbestos register plus a detailed recommended asbestos training and monitoring plan.

We will be happy to do a free assessment of your premises and advise you on what needs to be done for you to fully comply with the regulations.

Sampling Kits

The testing kit has been put together to allow you to take very small samples to be tested for Asbestos containing materials.

The most common items sent to us for testing are listed below:

  • Artex or decorative coatings
  • Insulation from boilers or attics. Soffit boards, roof tiles and under cloaking.
  • Corrugated asbestos, such as garage or shed roofs.
  • (Note that most people believe that all corrugated cement is asbestos, this is NOT TRUE).

The kit includes easy to follow instructions, a mask with a FFP3 filter that will prevent inhalation of airborne fibres of Asbestos, zip style seal sample bags to place the sample in and a return address label to return the samples.

The samples will be analysed at a UKAS approved lab and the results will be e-mailed to you with a brief description of what action can be taken to resolve your asbestos issue.

The price for a single kit is £50.

Should you require more than one sample each additional sample will be £25.

Note that we are a Asbestos Surveying company and not a lab, the samples are analysed by an independent UKAS lab and our advice is free as part of the package.

Do not mistake this for a lab analysis package where you will get your sample analysed and have a sheet of paper that tells you it is Chrysotile, Crocidolite or Amosite Asbestos and you will have to work out what to do next.
